For this card I started with the Designer Series Paper stack called "A Little Foxy" which has twelve double sided designs that measure 6"x 6". The bunting pattern seemed fitting for the first of many November cards. Starting with a piece of patterned paper helps when it comes to choosing the colours for the base and layers of the card as Stampin' Up! have coordinating cards and ribbons.
I chose to use Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Smoky Slate card and some of the gorgeous matching, stitched ribbon. The greetings are stamped and heat embossed with silver embossing power which tones in well with the Smoky Slate ribbon.
The embossing is so shiny that it was quite difficult to photograph - it looks much better in the flesh...honestly! However, the photo does show how fabulous the new Stitched Shape Framelits are. This is the first time I have used these new dies and I can't wait to use them again.
So, that is one November birthday card done (and it is already sealed in its envelope and ready to go!). There are quite a few more to make and send. Which is your busiest month for making and sending cards?
