Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop December 2020

Hello! I am participating in a blog hop organised by Kylie and Bruno Bertucci as part of their Demonstrator Training Program. We are a group of Demonstrators from around the world who are taking part in training that is helping us with our Stampin' Up!® business. So whether you are a regular visitor here or if you have hopped in from another blog, I am so pleased to welcome here today for this blog hop.

We are sharing ideas for thank you cards to send to our customers that shop with us during this month. I am using a new set from the up coming January to June Mini catalogue to give a sneak peek to the gorgeous products that will be with us very soon. The stamp set is called Simply Succulents and there is a coordinating set of dies called Potted Succulents.

As soon as I saw the card front sized die I knew that I wanted to cut it out and use it as a stencil. The new Blending Brushes have velvety soft heads that apply ink beautifully, even through the lacy, intricate gaps in this die. I chose to use just two colours for my card -  Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo.

As well as the fabulous card front sized die there are also dies to crop out the stamped succulent images AND four amazing label dies. I am very happy that they have stitched edges too! Using these elements together has created a pretty layered card that
is flat and perfect for posting. I'm really happy with it!

Thank you for visiting my blog today - you are currently visiting Karen Henderson. Please look at the list below to see who to visit next. I am sure you will find lots of inspiration on your journey around the hop. Make sure you don't miss any!

Itty Bitty Christmas and Pine Wood Dies

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am still busy making and writing out Christmas cards so I thought I would share one of the designs with you.
My card is cased from a similar one by Su Mohr - it has lots of detail but is perfect for posting because it is totally flat.

This version uses traditional Christmas greens and gold. The die cut tree is from the Pine Wood set and the pattern behind comes from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP (which are both on the Year-end Closeout list of retiring products).

The Mossy Meadow card base is topped with a Whisper White layer embossed with the Winter Snow folder (also on the retiring list). On top of that is a Pear Pizzazz rectangle cut using the Natures's Thoughts dies into which I have cut the detailed tree image from the Pine Wood Dies. The dotty paper is sandwiched between the die cut rectangle and a Mossy Meadow layer.

The lots of love at Christmas sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set and has been heat embossed in gold. As you can see there is plenty of detail lots of lovely texture. If you are like me, and are a little behind with your Christmas makes hope this might inspire you - I made quite a few of these in a production line and I am looking forward to writing them out!

If you want to purchase the items used for these cards, or any other supplies, please take a look in my online Stampin' Up! shop. You can follow the link or click on the pictures below of the products I have used today.

Sending love and thanks with Peony Garden papers

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights for December. The theme is Thank You - showing your appreciation to some one that has helped or inspired you is as easy as sending
a hand made creation.

My initial idea was to reuse a sketch that I have used before to create my card. Straightforward I thought. However, somewhere along the way I changed my mind and created something completely different. At the outset my desk was clean and tidy but even though I have now got a finished card and a couple of part made cards (now safely put away to complete another day!) I have also ended up with a very messy desk. Best laid plans!

I have used two of the colours used in the Peony Garden papers; Basic Gray and Petal Pink. Don't they work well together?
The papers elegant and beautiful and it was really satisfying to be able to use up some of the small pieces that I had saved from an earlier project to make this one. I used the Stitched Shape dies to cut out four sqaures and mount them onto a Basic Gray layer, which really helps to make them pop. The all over print is mounted on to a Petal pink layer, which in turn is mounted on to a Basic Gray card base.

The sentiment is white heat embossed to emphasise the white sketch lines in the DSP and mounted on to a Petal Pink label made witht the Banners Pick a Punch. A trio of Elegant Faceted Gems and a little piece of ribbon finish the card off. I am happy with my card (even though the process was a bit chaotic - tell me I'm not alone!) and I hope you like it too. I know who I'm going to send it to, so I hope they like it as well.

This card will appear in the International Project Highlights Gallery which you can visit for more inspiration. When you visit the gallery you will see that you can vote for your favourite five projects. At the end of the voting the Top Ten winners will be invited to take part in an International Blog Hop at the end of December. I would love to take part on the hop, so I would really appreciate your help. Please would you visit the gallery and vote for my card?

If you want to purchase the items used for this card, or any other supplies, please take a look in my online Stampin' Up! shop. You can follow the link or click on the pictures below of the products I have used today.
