This weekend I gathered my supplies and enlisted the help of a couple of friends to make cards for Stampin' Up! UK's Birthday Wishes Challenge.
The cards are simple and fun to put together, but at the same time they are bold and striking. The focus is on the stylish In Color paper with a simple stamped birthday sentiment.
Stampin' Up! UK set demonstrators a challenge, to make 10,000 cards across two card-making weekends, to mark their 10th anniversary in the UK. The cards will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The charity provides free 'home away from home' accommodation to families who have a child in hospital. There are 14 Ronald McDonald Houses across the UK, all located close to specialist children's hospitals. The Houses are open 365 days a year and are equipped with everything you would find in a family home. Families can get a good night’s sleep, prepare their own meals and feel at home, knowing that they are only moments away from their child (http://www.rmhc.org.uk/what-we-do/).
These are all the finished cards. Stampin' Up! has a long history of supporting philanthropic causes, and I am glad to have participated in this challenge and helped in a small way. Altogether we created 122 cards to send off to the charity.
The card below combines Berry Burst with a Big on Birthdays greeting.
Another Big on Birthdays greeting on a Tranquil Tide background and a hint of Lemon Lime Twist.
The next card features a Fresh Fig background and stamping with a little colouring and a hint of sparkle from my Wink of Stella pen.
The final card uses images from the wonderful Window Shopping stamp set and I copied the design from my wonderful team leader. Thanks, Bekka! On this little notecard, I've used Lemon Lime Twist for the sentiment, Berry Burst for the flowers and the backgroung layer and the leaves are in Old Olive.
Now I am looking forward to the Christmas Cheer Challenge which will take place during the first weekend in December!
