The challenge on the Global Design Project this week is to CASE the designer.
When you CASE a project you can Copy And Selectively Edit -
so take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be
the stamp set - the colours, the layout, the flowers, whatever you like
that has inspired you to make a card of your own.
The project to CASE this week is by the amazingly talented Michelle Last.
For my card I have copied the layout. The background is a layer of Shimmery White card that is embossed using the Fluttering embossing folder. The focal point of the card has a few elements to it: the sentiment, ribbons and the butterfly.
For the butterfly element there is a layer of window sheet and foam adhesive strip within the layering circles framelits to form a shaker pocket that encases tiny sequins (they have a gorgeous pearly shimmer...and I lovingly separated them from the gold ones in the pack!!).
I have stamped (and die cut) the smaller butterfly from the Watercolour Wings stamp set using Bermuda Bay ink in a variety of intensities. This is layered with a butterfly die cut from Glimmer Paper. The sparkle and shine makes me happy!
I hope you like my version of Michelle's card - there are so many possibilities to create a card that is exactly the same...but uses different colours and stamps!
