Last weekend I hosted two card making sessions, to support the great Stampin’ Up! Christmas Cheer Challenge. What is this “Challenge”, I hear you ask? Well, Stampin’ Up! was on a mission to make 10,000 Christmas cards for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). RMHC provides free “home away from home” accommodation for families with children in hospital.
For my sessions, I asked each attendee to make 10 greetings cards – utilising 5 different designs – and to donate half of them to the “Challenge”. A good time was had by all and, in total, 108 cards were made, a lot of tea was drunk, and a fair few biscuits were eaten along the way (it is written somewhere that a card making army marches on its stomach – not too sure about that, but I can confirm that crafting is thirsty work!). The pictures included here hopefully give a flavour of the days’ activities and the fruits of our labours! Whoever thought that being part of a production line could be this much fun? And all for a great cause, too. A huge thank you to everyone who took part.
I'm pleased to report that the final card count for the Christmas Card Challenge was 17,778! What a whopping great number of cards donated to RMHC! I'm so pleased to have been part of this event.
Great news! Stampin' Up! have announced an exciting offer! Free shipping for 24 hours only. Free shipping runs from 11:00 p.m. GMT 10th December to 10:59 p.m. GMT 11th December.
Happy crafting!
