I am absolutely loving using the Hydrangea Hill Suite, so I have used it again for my thank you cards. I know that hydrangeas can produce different coloured blooms depending on what type of soil they are growing in and, as I have made plenty of purple and blue flowers, this time I have made a pink version. The designer series paper is so pretty and shows a variety of shades, just like real flowers!
My card base is Blushing Bride and I have teamed that up with Basic Gray card and ink - I felt that black ink would be too harsh and that the pink and grey tones worked much more harmoniously together.After stamping the large flower on Basic White card I coloured it with a trio of pinks. Using a sponge dauber I stippled Blushing Bride, Petal Pink and a hint of Rococo Rose to create a range of colours on the petals, and then added highlights and extra texture by adding some single die cut petals, topped with basic pearls.
The darling little tags are the perfect size for the thank you and are simply tied with a white bakers twine bow. It's difficult to see, but there is a hint of sparkle from the Wink of Stella glitter brush too. Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you have been inspired!
