Pansy Petals Suite - Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop May 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am delighted to be taking part in the Ink and Inspiration blog hop for May. The theme this month is Sweet Suite and I have chosen to feature the Pansy Petal Suite from the new Annual Catalogue.

This suite jumped out of the catalogue at me! For as long as I can remember, I have loved pansies and violas. In pots, hanging baskets or in the ground there is something quite appealing about these flowers - they have such character. I find the darkest purple ones the most appealing and I'm always drawn to those ones first when I see them in the garden centre!

The suite offers plenty of possibilities to make stunning pansy projects from gorgeous images on the Designer Series Paper to distinktive stamping to die cutting. For today's card I have used the dies and coloured card for a paper pieced pansy arrangement. I can't wait to try the stamps too.

The flowers are made with three shades of purple; Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Blackberry Bliss. The centre is Daffodil Delight which gives the distinctive, bright pop of colour. The flowers are arranged on a layer of the Evening Evergreen InColor Shimmer Vellum embossed with new Checks folder - the embossing folder teams up so well with the check pattern on the DSP! To finish off the card I wrapped a length of Evening Evergreen ribbon under the sentiment and added a few of the InColor jewels for a bit of sparkle.

I hope that you are inspired by my card today and that you will continue along the hop to see what the others have created too - click on the names below to enjoy their  projects. We would love to hear from you and so if you have been inspired, please leave a comment.

Pierced Blooms thank you - Top Ten International Blog Highlights Winners Hop May 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog. Earlier in the month, I participated in Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights and after the voting had closed I was delighted to find myself in the Top Ten!

Thank you so much to everyone who visited the gallery and voted for my card. If you missed it, you can read all about it here. I am absolutely thrilled to be eligible to take part in this winner's hop.

For my thank you card for today, I have chosen to use some of the same products as before, but the colour combination is different and so the card looks and feels different.

This is how I made it! I teamed up two of the new InColors - Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia with one of my trusty favourites, Gorgeous Grape, and set about die cutting a selection of bits using the fabulous Pierced Blooms dies. The stitched detail on them is just fantastic. So tactile.

I had so much fun mixing and matching the pieces to make a garden of flowers for my card. The flowers are displayed on a Basic White panel embossed using the Ornate Floral folder, which gives such a lovely backdrop. The overall effect is soft and subtle with a mismatch of flowers. Perfect for the cottage garden feel I was aiming for.

The flowers are pretty all by themselves, but I think that the leaves have made all the difference to this card - they are cut out from Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum. It is simply beautiful! All the see through elegance you expect from vellum, with a hint of colour and shimmer. I know I will enjoy using more of this!

The decorated panel nests onto a Fresh Freesia layer, cut with the Scalloped Contours dies which is popped up using dimensionals over a Gorgeous Grape panel. I couldn't resist adding some tone on tone stamping to this layer before adding it to the Pale Papaya card base. I am pleased with how my card turned out; I hope you like it too.

Customer Thank You cards for May 2021 - Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop

Hello! I am participating in a blog hop organised by Kylie and Bruno Bertucci as part of their Demonstrator Training Program. We are a group of Demonstrators from around the world who are taking part in the training that is helping us with our Stampin' Up!® business. So, whether you are a regular visitor or if you have hopped in from another blog, I am delighted to welcome you here to my blog!

We are sharing ideas for Thank You cards to send to our customers duing May 2021. If you place an order with me during May you will receive one of these cards as a thank you for your purchase together with May's All Star Tutorial Bundle.

Sending a thank you card to a customer is one of life's pleasures and something I look forward to - fun for me to make and a simple way to show my appreciation to a customer for placing their order with me.

To make this card I delved into my new pile of goodies from the recently launched Annual Catalogue and had fun with stamps, dies and coloured card! I set up a little assembly line - card bases, layers to be embossed, layers to stamp and die cut panels. The process was a really satisfying! I knew that I wanted to feature some of the new InColors, and for this project the Pale Papaya/Polished Pink combination was my favourite.

The Scalloped Contours dies include five frames together with a stitched scolloped border and a couple of flower dies to coordinate with the stamps. I cut a piece of Basic White card to stamp on that fits just inside the stitching on the second largest frame. I then stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink so that I could see the space available for the flowers. I stamped the solid image in Pale Papaya randomly over the layer and then added the outline in Smoky Slate over the top. The two images don't line up perfectly which adds to their charm.

The Polished Pink frame is popped up on dimensionals over the white Brick & Mortar embossed layer and decorated with a couple of the InColor jewels - they are so sparkly. Finally, I added some Wink of Stella splatters just for good measure!

Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you have been inspired! As mentioned at the beginning, this is a blog hop so make sure you hop around to see the other amazing projects on the hop! Click on the links below to visit them.
