Daisies In Bloom - International Project Highlights for May 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my card to entry to Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights for May 2021 - the theme is Thank you. This fresh looking card is so cheerful and really makes me think of the saying 'as fresh as a daisy'!

The Pierced Bloom dies are the star of this card - the stitched detail on them is so pretty. I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to create the central frame and the Tasteful Textile and Ornate Floral embossing folders to add additional texture to this card.

The Thank You sentiment is from the Hand-Drawn Blooms stamp set it's perfect to stamp repeatedly to create the background and then to frame to make the statement sentiment. I used Night of Navy ink for the stamping. The background panel has multiple tones of navy created by repeatedly stamping without reinking. Embossing the layer fades the stamping even further for a subtle, muted effect. To create the illusion of a frame this little panel is popped up on dimensionals.

As mentioned at the beginning I am entering Kylie's International Project Highlights and you can follow the link to the gallery where you will find heaps more inspiration AND you can vote for your favourite five projects. At the end of the voting the Top Ten winners will be invited to take part in a blog hop at the end of the month.
