I love making and sending cards and I also love swapping cards with fellow demonstrators - it's a fabulous way to gain new ideas and is a traditional part of in person Stampin' Up! gatherings. Whilst we have been unable to meet in person, I have still enjoyed the wonders of swapping by participating in a couple of swaps via the post. S0 much fun!

At the start of Sale-A-Bration I coordinated a swap amongst team members and this is the card I made - I have used this card sketch, featuring the Quite Curvy Bundle, lots of times and I love how it works with a variety of papers. On this version, the punched daisy makes a wonderful focal point - two punched daisies with their centres highlighted with a hint of Pool Party ink (applied using the Blending Brushes for subtle coverage), offset to give a fuller flower and topped with a Resin Dot.

I made the same card using different papers from the same pack too.

I wanted to use these papers again but I challenged myself to use the same sketch but to adapt it and to only use stamps and punches - no die cutting allowed!

I think that the Flowers & Field papers rose to the challenge perfectly and look fabulous teamed up with sentiments from the Happiest of Birthdays set. The Medium Daisy punch creates the same focal point as the original card and I've finished them off with either Matte Black dots or the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots. Aren't these super simple cards effective?

Thank you for stopping by today - I hope I have inspired you to use and adapt a favourite card sketch to make a new and different version! Pretty Perennials - Happy Birthday swaps

Hello and welcome to my blog. I made this card a while ago and I have been itching to share it with  you all. I've kept it a secret because I made it as my contribution to a card swap by post and I wanted to wait until all the swaps were distributed before sharing it here.

This card makes me so happy - the stamped flowers are bold and beautiful, I love this combination of colours together, I incorporated the Subtle embossing folder (the linen look texture it gives is fabulous), the sentiment is stunning (and can be changed really easily to suit the occasion) and the design worked super well as a production line (which is obviously essential for a swap card!). This card really ticked lots of boxes for me!

The production process for this card, after cutting up the card layers, was to complete the stamping first. The two large flowers are in Daffodil Delight and the centres are in MementoBlack. Next, I stamped the four petalled flower twice in Highland Heather, rotating it to create a rounder bloom. The smaller purple flowers are designed as a two step creation. I stamped the outline in Gorgeous Grape first and then filled in the petals with Highland Heather. The leaves are created in the same way using Pear Pizzazz. The berries are stamped in Coastal Cabana and, whilst I'm not sure that they are botanically accurate, they are so pretty.

After stamping the whole piece is embossed with the Subtle embossing folder to give it a canvas texture. The word happy is white heat embossed on to a strip of Vellum, which is wrapped around the card layer to avoid the problem of hiding the adhesive. Another large flower was stamped and die cut and topped with one of the skeleton die cut flowers. Ah, so pretty! Oh and I nearly forgot, the ribbon ties exquisite bows! The final bit of the production line was to add some of the Elegant Faceted Gems.

As I am typing, the post man has just deliverd my return swaps. How perfect is that timing? Can't wait to have a look through them - I know I will be inspired to create something new. Thank you for visiting today - I hope that I have inspired you.

Love is in the air!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am extremely happy to be hopping with some fellow enthusiasts who enjoy creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do! This month the theme for the hop is 'love is in the air', so please prepare to be inspired and have fun perusing the hop.

Love is what makes the world go round and
it is almost Valentine's Day, so I have used my love of hearts as the starting point for my card. Of course, hearts can be used any time of the year and the theme can cover all sorts of love. This one will be for my sweetheart!

I have a few heart themed stamp sets to choose from, but
I limited myself to just one of them for today's card. I am working with the Lots of Heart Bundle which has a photopolymer stamp set together with a comprehensive set of dies.

I think that these two traditional colours always have the wow! factor. I cut a pile of hearts in Basic White and Real Red and played with them to create layers and texture. To make the assembly as fuss free as possible I adhered adhesive sheets to the card stock before I did the die cutting.

The stamped gingham heart is just adorable and I know that I am going to be using that a lot. I foresee a rainbow of hearts! I hope that my project has inspired you to embrace the love is in the air theme, whether that is to
shower your loved ones with love or even to show some love to your crafty stash. Please continue along the hop to see what Susan and the others have created. I am sure you will be filled with inspiration. We would love to hear from you - so If you have been inspired, please leave a comment.
