Adorable Snail Mail Thank You

Hello and welcome to my blog. How can it be February already? Recently, I have had a lot of fun creating cards using the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. The cards I am sharing today were initially designed to give to the children in my class to say thank you for the gifts I received at Christmas - I thought that the fun, cute images were perfect for the job!

This card layout is fast becoming one of my favourites - using different papers and embossing folders gives it a new twist. The same card - but different! For the base card and the embossed panel I picked coordinating colours to those used in the patterned paper; Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight and I used the Scripty Embossing folder to reinforce the writing element of Snail Mail!

The
sentiment is stamped in black Memento ink before being cropped out using the Classic Label punch. White Bakers Twine is wrapped around the embossed panel before it is adhered to the card base and then to finish the card I've added a few of the resin heart embellishments - I couldn't resist those!

I have to admit that I bought this pack of paper because I fell in love with one of the Hearts & Kisses samples on page 14 of the Mini catalogue which features Real Red paper over printed with white hearts. However, I was converted to the Snail Mail suite as soon as I saw the rest of the papers in person. In fact, I went on to order the stamps and dies because I enjoyed working with the papers so much. Can't wait to create some more fun cards when they arrive.

In the meantime, I am going to make another batch of these cards and tweek the sentiment so that I can send some cards just because! Itty Bitty Greetings has a couple of good ones; a little hello and sent with love. Everyone needs a little bit of happy snail mail don't they?

These cards are my entry to Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights for February - the theme is Thank You. Please follow the link to the gallery where you will find more inspiration AND you can vote for your favourite five projects. At the end of the voting the Top Ten winners will be invited to take part in a blog hop at the end of February.

I would love to take part in the hop, so I would really appreciate your help. Please would you visit the gallery and vote for my card? My card is number 41.
