Hello and welcome to my blog. It is true to say that I have been absolutely enchanted with the Painted Seasons stamps, papers and dies. I have had so much fun using them, but I'm sad that they are only available until the end of the month! If you haven't already done so, grab them while you still can.
At the weekend I had the pleasure of making a selection of cards with a group of friends and this was one of the cards we made. This is a new colour combination for a card design that I have made before. There was a choice between succulents and flowers or two different coloured flowers.
The layer of card below the Whisper White stamped layer matches the colour used to stamp the sentiment. I think it just works! The base card to acts as a lovely frame to the stamped images - I love this coordination!
The flowers are stamped in Poppy Parade or Grapefruit Grove and the leaves are in Call Me Clover. I had previously only stamped the succulents in much lighter greeny shades, but I think they look amazing in the dark green Shaded Spruce. The finishing touch, which transforms the overall look, is to stamp the little starry clusters in Petal Pink. Somehow adding them brings the whole thing together!
The sentiments I've used come from another set that seems to be in permanent use by me - Incredible Like You. The whole set is fabulous, but I particulary like these sentiments! I've shown my indecisive nature again, haven't I! Do you favour the card with the flowers and the succulents or the sea of flowers?

Fun folding Painted Seasons
Hello and welcome to my blog. Firstly, I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who voted for my card in the International Highlights gallery earlier in the month. I'm thrilled because your votes have enabled me to gain a place on today's blog hop.
A birthday is a perfect opportunity to tell someone that you are thinking of them and to make them feel special. Sending a card and reaching out to someone is heartwarming - the words you write and the celebration will be cherished for a long time. Celebrate Your Day! is a wonderful sentiment to encourage you to make the most of your birthday!
I have a fun fold card to share with you today that features the Painted Seasons papers and some of the other Sale-A-Bration goodies that are only with us until the end of the month. The papers I have used today are the same as those I used on the card in the original gallery, and in case you missed it before you can read about it HERE.
The twisted pop up card has the wow! factor because of its unusual shape and it is a perfect way to show off the gorgeous papers. I have two versions of the same card to show you and although they use exactly the same papers they look quite different. I love them both, but I think that I prefer the flowers in the foreground (just by a hairs breath!).
Inside the card I have used the same inks to stamp the Birthday Wishes with room to spare for that special handwritten message. These words come from the More Than Words set which coordinates with many of the other SAB items, but it is only available to buy during the Sale-A-Bration promotion.
When the card is folded it will fit into a regular sized envelope and the best bit is that you can cut three bases from on A4 sheet of card! I hope that you like my little fun card, but I wonder which version you prefer - flowers in the foreground or the background?
Thank you so much for joining me today. You are currently at my blog, Karen Henderson - have a look below at the list of the other winners to see who else to visit for more inspiration.

Twin 18 celebrations!
Welcome to my blog. Today, I am sharing two cards for two very special people in my life. On Friday our wonderful twins celebrated their 18th birthday. We have had a fun weekend marking this official transition to adulthood. I wanted to make a special card for this milestone and plumped for fancy fold cards. The cards have an eclectic mix of products from the current catalogues, Sale-A-Bration items and old favourites.
I first saw a twisted pop up card on Brian King's blog, and I hoped that it would work brilliantly with the Geared up Garage suite. I have mixed the graphic images on the papers with the dies and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I even used the Big Shot embossing mats to give the die cuts extra depth and dimension.
The Number of Years stamps and dies are sadly no longer in the catalogue, but I brought them out of retirement for these cards as they are perfect for BIG birthdays! I've also used some of my favourite punches and dies - the stitched shapes framelits, 2" circle and Starburst punches must be some of my most used tools!
The Let it Ride stamps were my go to set for the second card and the pop-up cube card gives a wonderful canvas for several images. The horses are stamped in Early Espresso ink and then water coloured using an aquapainter. There is a swoosh of glitter from a Wink of Stella pen, which I know isn't strictly equine (but it is reminiscent of a love of unicorns). The small 18th on the front is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed in gold to add a touch of luxury. The Braided Linen Thread and Old Olive twine are tied around the edge to finish the scene on the front.
It has been such fun to create these keepsake cards and I have completely gone to town with these cards for this special occasion, so the list of products I have used is quite extensive! There are two completely different fun fold cards, so I hope you'll allow this indulgence on my part!
