Hello and welcome blog. Today's card is one of those cards that can be sent 'just because'. It's a cute square card and I had fun colouring with my Blends again.
I stamped the image from the Bloom & Grow stamp set using Black Memento ink on to Thick Whisper White card and then cut it out using the coordinating Budding Blooms dies. As soon as I saw the little flowers I thought that they resembled forget-me-nots, so I coloured them with my Balmy Blue Blends. The larger flowers were coloured in Rococco Rose to transform them into elegant blousy roses. You just need to imagine the exquisite, heady perfume and you'll be transported to an archetypal English cottage garden. The foliage is coloured using either Old Olive Blends or my Wink of Stella Glitter brush.
I picked the colours for base card and layers to coordinate with the colours I'd used for the flowers, but I wanted a neutral layer for the flowers to sit directly on. I chose Sahara Sand. The simple 'hello' greeting was stamped into the corner of the layer before it was embossed using the Subtle embossing folder - it might be subtle, but it adds a delightful, simple texture to the card. More neutral elements were added with ribbon and twine wrapped around the centre of the card. The swithe of flowers sit proud of the card by lifting them with Dimensionals.
As well as dies to coordinate with the flowers and leaves in the stamp set, the Budding Blooms set contains a die with a trio of tiny flowers. I cut several of these from Balmy Blue card to make more forget-me-nots - the centres are gold metallic pearls. The very final touch was to add a squirt of shimmery spray all over the card. I have a spray bottle filled with a mixture of Wink of Stella Glitter and alcohol which can be added liberally when you need a bit of shimmer!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today's card features beautiful florals from the Bloom & Grow bundle. It's a stunning combination of pretty flowers and powerful sentiments, and there are dies to cut out the floral images.
To my eye these flowers resemble anemones. I love vases filled with these brightly coloured flowers. So rich and vibrant. Now, I am not certain about the classification of these flowers, but for this card I am colouring them with my Blends in rich bright colours and calling them anemones. Another time the species and colour scheme could be different!
I chose Crumb Cake for the base of my card and used the Bricks & Mortar embossing folder to create a tactile background. The floral images are stamped using Black Memento ink on Thick Whisper White card and coloured with Old Olive, Lovely Lipstick, Highland Heather and Balmy Blue Blends. The sentiment is stamped in black on to a strip of Balmy Blue card.
I used glue dots to stick the floral swathes in place. They add a tiny bit of height without using dimensionals and there was enough of a gap to introduce a few extra pieces of foliage to finish off the card.
My final touch was to use my Wink of Stella glitter pen to add a sheen to the small circular foliage and a few splatters to the background. I am a happy crafter and thoroughly enjoyed my colouring today. It was relaxing and rewarding.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This afternoon I have had a fabulous time making two home decor pieces. The first is for my eldest daughter. Tonight, she returns home after an exciting adventure Inter-Railing around Europe for the last month. So this is a sort of welcome home gift. I completely and utterly copied this one from Pip Todman - I didn't change a thing, because I loved it the way it was. My daughter loves horses so as soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect for her.
The second piece I made for me, and my new craft space, and is also a great fit for the Global Design Project Theme Challenge, For the Love of Craft. This is certainly a topic close to my heart. I love all sorts of crafty activities, but especially stamping and paper crafting. Today's projects are a little different from my usual card making, but I have still thoroughly enjoyed making them.
I love all things heart-shaped and this darling little decor piece is no exception. To prepare the background there was a little role reversal and I raided my younger daughter's art supplies for some white acrylic paint. Usually, it is my craft stash that is being dipped into!
I applied the paint with a sponge to achieve a stippled effect. Once it was dry (which doesn't take very long at all) I stamped the whole surface with the Crackle Paint background stamp in Sahara Sand ink (stamping off on scrap paper first for a very light coverage on the wall hanging).
Next, I stamped a series of pens, in Black Memento ink, on to the right hand side of the prepared background. The direction of the pens is alternated so that they nestle closely together. The pot of paintbrushes is again stamped in Memento ink, but this time on to Shimmery White card, and then coloured with Blends. The sentiment - a mantra for everyone, not just crafters - is also on Shimmery White card in Memento ink. The off white colour of the acrylic paint works really well with this card and a single Epoxy Heart finishes off the sentiment.
I have used several sets of dies to finish off the piece. Stitched Shapes, Layering Circles and Ovals were used to crop out the paint pot and the sentiment. The Inspire comes from the Sweet Silhouette dies and the Hand-lettered Prose dies are individual letters (so useful!) that have been used to cut out 'art'.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope that you are inspired to do something creative! If
