Crafting Forever

 

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my third card this week with a crafty arty theme, and I have loved making them. Today, I am joining in with a challenge from The Paper Players, which this week is a sketch challenge.

As you have probably gathered from my recent posts, I do have a weakness for stationery and particularly pens. Using the Crafting Forever or the It Starts With Art stamp sets has brought joy into my day!

The tone on tone Coastal Cabana background is created with the pens from Crafting Together. The stamp has a group of three pens that are stamped in rows, one at the top and another underneath. I embossed a piece of Vellum cardstock with the Button Button embossing folder and wrapped it around the pen layer. The vellum is thick, obscuring the pens underneath and takes on a white appearance where it has been embossed. Lovely and tactile.

The pot of paint brushes and scissors are stamped in Black Memento ink on Shimmery white card and then coloured with Stampin' Blends. Colouring really is quite therapeutic! I used the layering circles to die cut around the pot of brushes and I decided to have them off to one side to allow room for the sentiment. The words fit perfectly with the image of the scissors, which I coloured to look like my Snips which I used to fussy cut them!

The finishing touch was to add a sprinkling of buttons and press studs that I cut out using the Arts and Crafts dies - perfect coordination. I wonder which friend would you send this card to?
