Santa's Workshop featuring Mr and Mrs Christmas!

Hello again and welcome back to my blog for another project using the Santa's Workshop suite of products.  I'm using a background of triple stripes again, but this time featuring Designer Series Paper filled with candy canes.  The colours are Poppy Parade and Coastal Cabana - they are such a fun colour combination.  I selected Mr and Mrs Christmas from my pile of die cut images that I had stamped with the aid of my Stamparatus.

I have used my Stampin' Blends to colour in the handsome couple.  I'm particularly happy with Mrs Christmas.  She looks happy and cuddly just like the archetypal Grandma.  She has rosy cheeks created by layering up the two shades of Petal Pink Blends.  Her hair colour also uses two tones, Smoky Slate, which are further enhanced by using the Color Lifter to create the lighter areas.

Dazzling Diamonds Glitter liberally adorns the couple.  They couldn't be Mr & Mrs Christmas without glitter!  The Christmas Greetings tag stamp comes from the Tags & Tidings set, which is a single stamp and die combination that produces 16 individual tags.

The candy canes on the tag complement those on the background wonderfully.  The tag is finished of with some knotted strands of the Striped Burlap Trim and a layer of Coastal Cabana card which I cut out slightly bigger than the tag.
