For even more inspiration with the Expressions in Ink Suite each of us has created another project using these products. Here is my project for today.

The flowers in this set remind me of the stylised roses created by Charles Rennie Mackintosh - I loved looking at his artwork at an exhibition in Glasgow many years ago, and ever since I have collected several pieces of jewellery influenced by his work. I have followed this association and paired up the flowers and the Paper Lattice pieces to create a card filled with climbing roses.

The flowers are stamped in Polished Pink and the leaves are in Pear Pizzazz - both are distinctive images which provide a fabulously textured finish without any effort at all. They are arranged on a die cut spray of white leaves, which I snipped apart so that the leaves were positioned exactly where I wanted them to be. I added a few of the adhesive backed sequins from the Ephemera Pack and a gold embossed hello to finish off my Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired card.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card - let me know what you think in the comments below. If you want to be inspired with more ideas using this suite you can purchase the tutorial bundle (along with previous tutorials) HERE

Hand-Penned Petals - Top Ten International Highlights Winners Hop June 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog. Earlier in the month, I participated in Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights and after the voting had closed I was delighted to find myself in the Top Ten!

Thank you so much to everyone who visited the gallery and voted for my card. If you missed it, you can read all about it here. I am absolutely thrilled to be eligible to take part in this winner's hop.

For my card for today I have chosen to use some of the same products as I used on my earlier project. It's still a fun fold card but the orientation is different.

This is how I made it! Start with a top folding, tent fold card base. Score and fold the front of card in half and back on itself  - this makes the small front portion. In order to make the card stand up I added an additional card front sized layer at the back of the card to elongate it and now you have a double tent fold card base!

The
flower sprays in the Hand-Penned Petals set are so beautiful and work wonderfully well with the set of new InColors. Summer has arrived on a card! For the backdrop to the flowers I have used a layer of Basic White card embossed with the Tasteful Textures folder and to continue the embossing theme I have used the Thanks folder from the Thanks & Hello set. This small layer fills the front portion of the card and is simply wrapped with some Soft Succulent ribbon and decorated with a tiny polished pink die cut flower - the matte black dots are perfect centres for all of the flowers.

Biggest Wish for the Let Your Colours Shine Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop June 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am delighted to be taking part in the Ink and Inspiration blog hop for June. The theme this month is Let your colours Shine! I have chosen to feature an array of warm, pinky colours.

I love the coordination of Stampin' Up! products - inks and card stock, Designer Series Paper, ribbons and colouring tools can all be mixed and matched successfully. Colours are grouped into colour families, and currently I store my ink and card stock this way. However,
I am considering rearranging my supplies so that they are in rainbow order.

In the meantime, I have selected a group of colours ranging from a neutral through pretty shades of pink to create my card with. I took 2cm strips of card and butted them together on a layer of Basic White, then I sliced up the layer to make some thin stripy strips to edge the Ornate Floral embossed panel. From bottom to top the colours are Early Espresso, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Polished Pink, Blushing Bride, Petal Pink and Pale Papaya.

I chose two of the nesting dies from the Stitched So Sweetly set to stamp the sentiment on - the large BIRTHDAY from the Biggest Wish set fits perfectly! It's stamped in Polished Pink and topped with an Early Espresso happy. It's always fun to add a little sparkle to a card and with matching Polished Pink gems available in the InColor Jewels pack, my decision was made!

I hope that you are inspired by my card today and that you will continue along the hop to see what the others have created too - click on the names below to enjoy their  projects. We would love to hear from you and so if you have been inspired, please leave a comment.
