Good Morning! Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you have had an enjoyable weekend. It has been lovely to have a few sunny days. Hopefully, the good weather will continue.
I have had a couple of productive crafty days planning for next weekend's card class and also sticking to my self imposed "I will be prepared for Christmas" mission.
I have another Dashing Deer card to share today, using my all time favourite Christmas colours of blue, white and silver. My collection of Christams cards always includes at least one design using this colour combination.
This version 2 of this card - I have previously shared a traditional red/copper combination which you can see here. I was so pleased with the way it turned out that I decided to try it in Night of Navy, Whisper White and silver!
I did have a few mishaps along the way while I was making these cards...I reversed the colour of the circles...Night of Navy scalloped circles and plain Whisper White ones...oops! And then, I spilled my Shimmer Paint. Double oops! As it is the second time I have assembled this design, you would have thought that I could do it without a hitch!
So after mopping up the paint and recutting some circles, I've made some cards that I'm really happy with.
As always, happy crafting,

Celebrate with Petal Promenade!
Welcome back to my blog. Today, I want to share a card with you made with the Petal Promenade papers. I didn't purchase them initially (silly me!). As soon as I received a card using them and I saw how beautiful they were I knew that I had to have them. They are stunning - photographic floral designs on one side, marble and textured appearance on the other.
Before a new catalogue launches, Demonstrators can see it and buy from it a little bit early. It is one of the perks of being a Demonstrator and it allows us time to get to know the new products and make some samples. Within our team I coordinate a swap that takes place during this "pre-order" period - the participants each make six identical cards and when I have them all I swap them and send each participant six different cards. It is a fabulous way to exchange ideas and see different products in the flesh!
I have to admit, my wish list did grow after I'd seen all the lovely swap cards. As we were showcasing the Autumn Winter catalogue all the cards used products predominantly from there. One of the Christmas cards inspired the card I am showing you today - thank you Emma Ryder - although my card is not at all Christmas!
I made several cards and by changing the background layers they all look slightly different even though they are essentilly the same! The paper is shown in all its glory, and the words deliver their message. I have used gold Glimmer paper die cut with Celebrate You thinlits and, for the special birthday card my daughter wanted for her friend, a simple 18th heat embossed in gold completes the card for the special occasion.
I think that this is a winning layout that lends itself to multiple papers and greetings and I'm sure I will come back to it.

2018 Autumn/Winter Catalogue
Today is somewhat autumnal, and I'm left wondering how the last few weeks have flown by so quickly and left the summer behind us as a memory. Since I last posted here I have been on holiday to Rome with my family and this last week I returned to school to meet a new class in a new classroom! It is rather chaotic, (the room not the children) as we are still unpacking boxes and finding resources. Even though I haven't managed to share anything recently, (a combination of busy summer holidays and computer issues!) I have still been creating a few things.
The 2018 Autumn/Winter catalogue began on 5th September and you can see it all HERE
There is a huge variety of products ranging from the very traditional Christmas through to the very cute together with some non-christmas goodies for autumnal and spooky projects. There really is something for everyone. Why not take a look and see for yourself.
The first thing I wanted to play with was the Dashing Deer bundle. Three deer images and some lovely sentiments, together with a set of coordinating thinlit dies. The price of the bundle saves you 10% compared with the price of the stamps and dies if purchased individually.
I have used Cherry Cobbler card as my feature colour to keep the feel very traditional, and I've teamed it up with copper foil, copper heat embossing and Crumb Cake/Soft Suede for the deer. The Swirls & Curls embossing folder was highlighted using some of the Champagne Mist Shimmer paint, which I also used to stamp a flourish with under the sentiment. Shimmer paint is wonderful! I bought one colour to experiment with, but now I NEED to buy more...there are four colours altogether.
I wanted to make multiple cards at the same time, so to speed up the process, I used my Stamperatus to stamp the die cut deer shapes. While I was cutting and stamping this large deer, I also cut and stamped one of the smaller images to make some different cards. These are cute 3"x3" cards that I sent out with my catalogues. (If you don't already have a demonstrator and would like your own copy of the catalogue, please contact me.)
I am determined not to leave Christmas until the last minute this year, and so, each time I make a Christmas card I am producing at least one spare so that I build up a little supply!!
