Thank you so much for joining me today for the All Star Design Team Video Class Bundle Blog Hop for July 2024. At the start of each month, each of creates another project using the featured suite of products to give you even more inspiration. Here is my additional Full of Life Suite project.
I was on a mission to use an entire sheet of paper for my project today - I wanted minimal waste (without saving left over pieces to use another day!) and this is what I came up with. The small, bright tiles of colour really appealed to me. The spectrum of colours provides you with so many choices for coordination. I plumped for Coastal Cabana.
The sheet of DSP is cut vertically into two evenly sized pieces from which I trimmed one of the rows of tiny squares (note to self - cut them off before splitting the paper in two and then they can be used to decorate the inside!).
I created a landscape cardbase from Thick Basic White card, choosing the height to accommodate the shortened DSP. The side flaps house the half sheet of DSP which creates an overlap over the middle of the card. Before adhering the DSP to the card I added texture using the Distressed Tile 3-d embossing folder - it gives them a mosaic feel.
I stamped and white heat embossed the so excited for you words on to Coastal Cabana card a couple of times. Then, I snipped them apart into smaller sections and arranged them on two nesting circles, cut using the Spotlight on Nature dies together with some foliage from the Full of Life bundle and a Bakers Twine bow. To add this decoration to the card I used some of the left over Basic White to create a belly band - it's about three squares deep. The circles sit proudly in the middle of the card front.
This suite caught my eye right from the start - the heart die cut did it! Now I have had a chance to create with it, I love the whole suite. The brightly coloured papers, the shimmery gems and of course the die cuts are all fabulous to work with. I hope you feel inspired to create with it too. Let me know what you think in the comments below. If you would like more ideas using this suite you can purchase the tutorial bundle (along with previous tutorials) HERE.
