Whimsical Trees for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop - November 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am delighted to be taking part in the Ink and Inspiration blog hop for November. The theme this month is Use Your Stash and I am using some trees cut out with the Christmas Trees dies from the Whimsy and Wonder suite together with a sentiment from the Christmas Whimsy Card Kit.

The theme of this Blog Hop is very apt at the moment! I have little piles of bits and pieces all over my desk. As I start making a batch of cards I often cut or stamp out several of the same thing in different colours. It gives me options and I can see what works out best by using trial and error! It is very rare that the picture I have in my head at the start of my cardmaking ends up being exactly like the finished card. So, as a result I have little piles growing round my desk...they might be useful someday, so I don't throw tham away. The neat and tidy person in me (sometimes!) packs them up with the relevant stamps or dies but, the creative me moves on to another project and leaves little piles of disgarded elements all over my desk ready to use another time!

Well, these fantastic trees are left overs from an old project and are from one of those said piles. They are absolutely gorgeous and look stunning grouped as a little trio on this snowy scape. I can't believe that this is my first blue, silver and white card this year - It's a classic combination that I adore. I stamped the Seasnon's Greetings using Night of Navy ink onto a square of Basic White card and then embossed it with the Wintry 3d folder. Luckily, I had had the forethought to use adhesive sheets on the card before die cutting the trees so they were super easy to adhere to the embossed background.

To finish, I wrapped some of the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the layer and, using glue dots, also added a tiny bow. They twinkle beautifully when they catch the light. Naturally, I had to add a trio of Metallic Pearls to complete the look!

Now, all I need to do is convert the other neglected piles into more cards. I hope that you are inspired by my card today and that you will continue along the hop to see what the others have created too - click on the names below to enjoy their  projects. We would love to hear from you and so if you have been inspired, please leave a comment.
