All Star Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop - Awash with Beauty Suite

Hello and welcome to our All Star Tutorial Bundle Design Team Blog Hop for July 2022. This month we are using the Awash with Beauty Suite. The projects featured in the bundle are exclusive and the tutorials come complete with photos, video directions and a supply list that includes both Metric and Imperial measurements.

To give you even more inspiration each of us has created another project using the Awash with Beauty Suite of products. Here are my cards for today.

I began by taking a half sheet of Basic White cardstock and experimenting with the True Beauty stamps! I tried different combinations of inks, flowers and leaves until I came up with this one.

My aim was to fill the page with randomly placed images, and after a couple of attempts I decided to fill the page with flowers and leave out the leaves. I used Sweet Sorbet, Flirty Flamingo, Purple Posy and Balmy Blue. The stamps are distinctive, yielding detailed, graduated images. So beautiful! 

 

Next, I cut the sheet into four pieces; two narrow strips the same height as a standard card front and the remaining piece was cut horizontally into two equal rectangles.

To transform these little stamped pieces into cards I gathered a few more supplies in addition to the True Beauty stamp set. To create a variety of labels I used the Tailor Made Tags and Stylish Shapes dies, for texture I used the Brick & Mortar, Pretty Flowers and Quatrefoil embossing folders and for additional sentiments I pulled out the Charming Sentiments and Go to Greetings sets.

I was really pleased with how the stamped paper turned out that I made a second piece so that I was able to make a total of eight cards. Here are the ones made from the narrow strips.

And the ones with the rectangular panels. On some of these I have embossed the stamped layer to add texture and dimension. Crinkled seam binding ribbon and iridescent pearls are the only other embellishments used.

I think that this one is my favourite!

Kylie's International Project Highlights for July 2022

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my card to entry to Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights for July 2022 - the theme is Thank you.

I picked the Season of Chic bundle to work with today, but I wanted to use a different colour palette to the one featured in the suite. I went for pink hues for the flowers; Merry Merlot, Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride complemented with foliage in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. The two largest frames from the Scalloped Contour Dies nest wonderfully creating a lovely backdrop to show off the flowers.

The neutral Sahara Sand layer sits within the stitched border on the Merry Merlot layer and has very pale tone on tone splotches stamped on it. One of the Chic dies cuts an irregular shape with a cross hatch pattern in it; it creates an amazing accent. I cut a whole piece and a part piece from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and attached it to extend over all of the Sahara Sand layer. For a change, I left some of the waste pieces in it, adding another dimension to the background.

On top of these background elements I added the flowers and leaves. Some of them are stamped and die cut, others are simply die cut elements. The flowers are topped with Rustic Metallic dots - they make great centres and complement the Distressed Gold paper and heat embossing too.

The thanks from the stamp set is exactly the right width for the scalloped frame! So, after gold heat embossing thanks on a strip of Merry Merlot, I die cut the strip using the Scalloped Contours die to create scalloped edges. Then, I could match the strip up with the outside of the frame.

Customer Thank You cards for June 2022 - Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop

Hello! I am participating in a blog hop organised by Kylie and Bruno Bertucci as part of their Demonstrator Training Program. We are a group of Demonstrators from around the world who are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and to reach some goals that we have set. So, whether you are a regular visitor or if you have hopped in from another blog, I am delighted to welcome you here to my blog!  

Throughout the hop we are sharing ideas and inspiration for Thank You cards to send to our customers during June.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Lovely in Linen Suite this weekend, so I've decided to use it for my thank you cards this month. There are some really useful sentiments in the stamp set and there is also a coordinating punch; you can purchase the stamps and punch as a bundle for bundled savings!

The papers mix and match together wonderfully and my cards are constructed using strips of paper measuring 1 1/2" wide. I am usually a metric measurer (and indeed I used centimetres to chop the length of the strips), but 1 1/2" wide just worked for these cards. I particularly like the blue pattern, which is the flip side of the flowers, but alas it is almost all gone...I will have to buy another pack!

The three strips of paper nest onto the Soft Succulent layer, which in turn sits within the largest of the Scalloped Contour dies and onto a Basic White card base. Sweet Sorbet provides a pop of colour to complement the flowers and at the same time lifts the muted colours.

The frame is stamped, the sentiment is added using a different colour and then it's punched out using the Lasting Label punch. To finish the card the label is lifted on dimensionals over a twist of luxurious Soft Succulent Satin Ribbon. Inside the card, I used the mosaic tile stamp from the set to create a border. The stamps are photopolymer so it's easy to line up and build a pattern.
