Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a delightful scene to share with you that I've created with the Snow Front stamps. This photopolymer set allows you to use a variety of elements to build a scene.
Small is beautiful and this terrific little scene fits onto a notecard sized Smokey Slate card. The scene is stamped on Whisper White card using Mossy Meadow, Pool Party, Smokey Slate and Early Espresso inks.
First, I stamped the clump of trees on the rolling hills to the righthand side of the card. Next, I continued the hillside using a really useful 'swoosh' stamp in the set - depending on the colour you use it looks good as both snowdrift and hillside. The smaller, individual trees in the set were used to build up the landscape on the left of the scene. Some of the images were stamped off onto scrap paper first to give a lighter, tone to the trees and thereby adding depth to the scene.
The deer are stamped in the foreground, using Early Espresso ink, as is the Smokey Slate snowman. They have been grounded to the snow drift by using the useful 'swoosh' stamp with second generation Pool Party ink.
I have also used Pool Party ink for the mountainous background - some of them use full strength ink and some are second generation impressions to give the depth to the scene. The final touch for this snowy picture was to add some Ice Stampin' Glitter - the sugar-like crystals catch and reflect the light superbly. I adore this wintry scene, and the possibilities for different scenes are endless. I hope you like it too.

Hello and welcome to my blog. My project today gathers together some lovely goodies, from various pages in the Autumn Winter catalogue, in order that I could create a Fancy Fold card in the style of one I saw Ronda Wade make a few weeks ago.
In the mix of products I have used the festive Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper for decoration and the colour scheme. These papers have the same pattern on the front and back of the sheet, but there is a choice of either Garden Green or Real Red and I added the neutral Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla to complete the look. All very traditional.
The tree stamp is from the Perfectly Plaid bundle, which includes the coordinating punch for the tree and the adorable tree decoration comes from the Christmas Gleaming suite. I think that the faceted copper star is a pefect topper for the tree!
The card folds flat for posting, but when the easel is propped up against the sentiment, which also comes from the same stamp, it is worthy of a central position in a display! The sentiment is punched out using the Everyday Label Punch and it's popped up on dimensionals to enable it to act as the anchor for the easel.
Thank you for visiting today. I hope that you approve of these stylish cards. They were simple to put together and the hardest thing to do is to decide whether to go for red or green or both. All in all, it surely is card making serendipity.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Remember the card I shared earlier in the week that was made with the papers, stamps and coordinating punch from the Wrapped in Plaid suite? Well, these beauties were also made using the same suite.
I have used a simple layout which is embellished with ribbons, embossing using the Subtle embossing folder and some gold heat embossing to compliment the gold in the Designer Series Paper.
The paper has wonderfully traditional colours that are so perfect for trees! I'm not sure if I prefer the Cherry Cobbler or Shaded Spruce version the best.
These three cards were all made from one sheet of 6"x6" DSP and the left over scrap is still lurking on my desk. (I am determined to use it on another project!) Do you have a favourite?
