Surround yourself with happiness

Surround yourself with happiness.  Now isn't that a great tip for us all to follow?  Welcome back for my second sneek peek to the Snowflake Showcase, which includes two stamp sets, some thinlit dies, snowflake trinkets and some white velvet paper.

Today, I have used the Happiness Surrounds stamps and the thinlit dies to make this cute tent-shaped card.  I started with a blank sheet of Whisper White card (and I know that is quite daunting) and some ink pads and just stamped.  The stamps are photopolymer so it is easy to see through them to line up the images and position them in a repeating, interlocking pattern that soon fills up the page.  I stamped the largest image first and then filled in the gap in the centre of the medallion shape with a further two images.  So, even though that blank white page was quite daunting at first, in the end the
pattern building was quite addictive!

I am really pleased with my very own One Sheet Wonder designer paper using ink colours that are some of the newest to the Stampin' Up! collection.  I have used Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Balmy Blue.  Don't they look stunning together?  I've cut the large piece of patterned paper up into smaller, card sized pieces and then mounted and layered them up with matching card.  The small die cuts are topped with rhinestones and the larger one acts as a backdrop for that wonderful sentiment.  It is small, yet perfectly worded, and is the perfect finishing touch for my little tent card!

The Snowfall thinlet dies coordinate with both the Happiness Surrounds and the Snow is Glistening stamps (see my earlier post here) resulting in products that are useful for a huge variety of projects throughout the year.

Snowflake Showcase Sneek Peek

Welcome back to my blog this morning.  I hope you have had an enjoyable weekend.  I hope you are ready to have your crafting appitite whetted with a sneek peek of a brand new limited time bundle from Stampin' Up! that will be available to cusomers from 1st November 2018.  As a demonstrator I am lucky to have been able to purchase the supplies ahead of this launch date.  It is one of the many perks and privilages of being a Demonstrator (if you have any questions about becoming a Demonstrator I'd be happy to help).

So, would you like to see what will be available?  Take a look at this video where Shannon West from the Stampin' Up! Home Office introduces these gorgeous new products.

This weekend, I have had so much fun experimenting with these new goodies.  Over the next few posts I will show you what I have created.  Be sure to keep visiting to see more of my cards!  My first sample uses the Snow is Glistening stamps and the coordinating Snowfall Thinlit dies.

Here is a close up of the stamps and dies.

Snow Is Glistening (149742)

Snowfall Thinlit Dies (149692)

I have used Shimmery White card to stamp the delicate snowflake border on to.  I stamped Balmy Blue ink off onto scrap paper before stamping it onto the card to give a paler image.  The snowflake flourish is cut from Shimmery card too.  When it catches the light it glistens beautifully.  I've used silver heat embossing for the words which gives them a raised shiny appearance.  Silver and blue is my all time favourite combination for Christamas cards, although I have to admit that I usually use a much darker shade of blue!

There is even more sparkle from the rhinestones added to the middle of the snowflakes.  My photos really don't do the sparkle on this card justice.

The new products will be available from 1st November until 30th November, only while supplies last.  Other supplies are available from my online Stampin' Up! shop, and you can follow the links below.

Fabulous Frosted Floral

Hello again!  Look how fabulous the Frosted Floral suite looks teamed up with the gold foil-edged cards.  I think they make quite a pair.

These cards and envelopes are trimmed with gold foil and come in packs of 20 - perfect for anniversaries, weddings and the festive season.  Aren't they luxurious?  They are available in silver too.

After I had die cut some of the images from the First Frost bundle I stamped them, in a variety of colours, with the help of my Stamparatus.  I gathered together some of the colours used on the Frosted Floral papers, some sponge daubers and experimented.

Sometimes when I use a stamp set for the first time I use the catalogue as a starting point.  Afterall, it's filled with inspiration. This time, however, I used my selection of flowers and built a bouquet.  Now, I'm not much of a flower arranger, but I'm happy with how this posy looks.

The richness of the gold edging on the card is complimented with the layer under the sentiment and the gold foil foliage.  The Gray Granite leaves are textured using the Subtle embossing folder and some of the flowers are popped up on Dimensionals to add height. The whole layer is wrapped with Tranquil Tide velvet ribbon which is pinched in with a linen thread bow.  Finally, the petals and leaves have been brushed with some Wink of Stella shimmer.

I have noticed that my go to products at the moment are my Stamparatus, the Subtle embossing folder and my Wink of Stella pen.  They are in use constantly and always in easy reach on my desk!

Do you own a Stamparatus? Did you know that you can now purchase accessories for it?  In addition to the Stamparatus and magnets that were launched in the Annual Catalogue, you can now also purchase another set of plates, foam mats and Grid Paper perfectly sized to fit.  The Grid Paper has both metric and imperial measurements (just like the full sized paper).  For multiple stamping the extra plates will be invaluable.  Think about the possibilities with your multiple step stamps and mass producing your Christmas cards!

What is your go to product or tool?   These products are available from my online Stampin' Up! shop, and you can follow the links below.
