Adoring Hearts for Global Design Team Theme Challenge #GDP427

Hello and welcome to my blog. The Global Design Project have a theme challenge this week. It's all about hearts! I absolutely love hearts, so this one is right up my street.

I have used the Adoring Hearts dies and matching embossing folder with the Most Adored papers from the Sale-A-Bration offering. The z-fold card gives plenty of space to show off the papers and a trio of the embossed/die cut hearts.

The papers feature colours readily associated with love and hearts; Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and Gold. I just used Flirty Famingo and Basic White. I started with a landscape basecard and folded the front section back on itself on the midway point. Each panel is decorated with a layer of DSP. The inner part of the card created square panels which are decorated with a third pattern from the DSP pack.

I had fun experimenting with the embossing folder and dies - it is a hybrid set which means that you can emboss and die cut at the same time. There are three different patterns and you can create even more variety by inking the embossing folder to transfer colour into the debossed areas. (I inked/embossed and then cleaned up the folder. Then I nestled the card back into the folder and added the die to cut the hearts out.)

A square die from the Stylish Shapes set was a perfect little frame the trio of hearts. Then, to finish the decoration I added some hearts from the Adhesive Backed Hearts and Flowers set, a few tiny die cut hearts and a glittery, floppy white bow. I think that I am going to use the Adoring Hearts folder and dies a lot!
