Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am taking part in a blog hop with some fellow enthusiasts who love sharing their creative talents using their Stampin' Up!® products.

To inspire our creations
for the Stamping Inkspirations blog hop this month we are following a sketch.

As soon as I saw this sketch the tools from the Trusty Tools set sprang to mind. I do not have the stamps or dies yet, but I do have a pack of the Trusty Toolbox Sale-a-bration papers to work with.

I've gone super simple with these cards because the papers speak for themselves. My square cards are the width of a standard sized card so they fit in a standard sized envelope. Next time though I might take advantage of these free papers and make a different size card with a matching envelope!

I used my Snips to fussy cut some of the tools and then layered them up onto the papers that coordinated with them. The sentiment is from the Circle Sayings set. It's really versatile and could equally be used for a celebration or to say thank you for a job well done! The words are white heat embossed and then die cut to form a label using either the Stylish shapes or Nested Essential sets.

It was fun to mix and match these papers together and I'm really pleased with how thay turned out. Simple, yet effective! I hope that you are inspired by my cards today and that you will continue along the hop to see what the others have created too. Enjoy the projects. We would love to hear from you and so if you have been inspired, please leave a comment.

  5. Beautiful card! I didn't like this design paper but I'm going to change my mind! And the idea of using the pencils and tools to recreate the cross in the sketch, really great!
