Hello and welcome to my blog. The pots of pansies in my garden have been absolutely glorious - they are grouped by colour and the display is growing upwards and outwards. They are thriving in the lovely sunny weather! By far my favourite pansies are the purple ones. So for today's card, I've taken inspiration from my garden and pulled out the Pansy Pactch Bundle to make a hello card. Perfect!
To create this card I have incorporated quite a few of my favourite things. It goes without saying that making and sending a card is one of the things I like to do best of all - I have also used my go to colours and tools!
Gorgeous Grape is such a rich purple and it's the perfect shade for my pansies! The card base and Tasteful Textile embossed layer are both Gorgeous Grape and to them I have also added Night of Navy and Basic White layers. I frequently use the Stitched So Sweetly dies - the stitched, scalloped edges on the rectangles are just fabulous for a frame.
I have combined stamped flowers with a paper pieced, die cut bud to fill the frame - just like my real ones in the pots outside. A riot of colour with new flowers growing daily! The stamps are photopolymer allowing you to bulid up the layers of colours easily. And, I can't forget the Baker's Twine bow - simple, and so pretty. Hope you have enjoyed my project for today and that you will also make and send a card too!
