Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am delighted to be taking part in the Ink and Inspiration blog hop for June. The theme this month is Let your colours Shine! I have chosen to feature an array of warm, pinky colours.
I love the coordination of Stampin' Up! products - inks and card stock, Designer Series Paper, ribbons and colouring tools can all be mixed and matched successfully. Colours are grouped into colour families, and currently I store my ink and card stock this way. However, I am considering rearranging my supplies so that they are in rainbow order.
In the meantime, I have selected a group of colours ranging from a neutral through pretty shades of pink to create my card with. I took 2cm strips of card and butted them together on a layer of Basic White, then I sliced up the layer to make some thin stripy strips to edge the Ornate Floral embossed panel. From bottom to top the colours are Early Espresso, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Polished Pink, Blushing Bride, Petal Pink and Pale Papaya.
I chose two of the nesting dies from the Stitched So Sweetly set to stamp the sentiment on - the large BIRTHDAY from the Biggest Wish set fits perfectly! It's stamped in Polished Pink and topped with an Early Espresso happy. It's always fun to add a little sparkle to a card and with matching Polished Pink gems available in the InColor Jewels pack, my decision was made!
I hope that you are inspired by my card today and that you will continue along the hop to see what the others have created too - click on the names below to enjoy their projects. We would love to hear from you and so if you have been inspired, please leave a comment.
