To give you even more inspiration each of us has created another project using the Sand & Sea products. As per usual, I was indecisive while I was making my project for today - I could not choose which piece of DSP I liked the best! So, I am showing you both versions that I made. The same simple layout looks good in both colourways, don't you think?
The card base is covered entirely with DSP and a second patterned piece is cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. The die cut layer is stamped with the sentiment and a few splatters using a darker shade of ink, mounted and popped up on dimensionals.
The larger shells are die cut from Pearlescent Paper and then embossed - it has such a pretty sheen, just like the inside of a seashell. It's easy to fussy cut out the shells from the large die cut.
The smaller elements were all made the same way. I watercoloured on scraps of Shimmery White card to create shimmery coloured card - I squished my ink pad onto a block, spritzed it with water and pressed the wet, inky block onto the card. As the colours spread and dry, there is a graduation of shades within each colour. However, you do have to allow them to dry thoroughly before stamping and die cutting the images. I used Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride and So Saffron for my shells.
The Opal Rounds were a must for this card - they could be bubbles or more tiny treasures from the beach. Now, the seaside is calling me and I need to plan a trip to do some beach combing!
I hope you have enjoyed my project for today. Let me know what you think in the comments below. If you want to be inspired with more ideas using this suite you can purchase the tutorial bundle (along with previous tutorials) HERE.
