Rooted in Nature

Hello and welcome to my blog. My card today was created using challenge over at The Paper Players as my starting point. This week the challenge is to follow the fabulous sketch created by Ann Marie.

The Rooted in Nature stamp set has some wonderful words alongside the various tree images - and I particularly wanted to use the Be Strong, Be Happy, Be You. They appear in the stamp set in a block, but they are very easy to trim out separately after you have stamped them so that you can position them where you want them to be.

The other elements of the card almost picked themselves - the Early Espresso layer was ready, waiting to be used. Pink and brown work harmoniously so when I went to the folder with the Rococo Rose card in it and the die cut strip from the Wild Rose dies was already there, the colour choices were picked and the diagonal element too. I love it when pieces that were surplus to requirements for one project become the ideal elements for another!

I used the Pinewood Planks embossing folder to add texture to the Vanilla layer and to tie the elements together. The ready made elements and the fabulous sketch made this a very quick card to make. I'm sure I will use this sketch again!

If you want to purchase the items used for this card, or any other supplies, please take a look in my online Stampin' Up! shop. You can follow the link or click on the pictures below of the products I have used today.

Stay safe and as always, happy crafting,

I'm really excited to be a member of the All Star Tutorial Bundle Team. The team comprises 12 Demonstrators from all over the world, and each month we publish a fabulous Tutorial Bundle (12 tutorials compiled into a PDF).

From July 2020 the tutorial bundle is changing to be a VIDEO tutorial bundle. Going forwards, each month the tutorial bundle will include a PDF providing photos, a link to how-to video instructions, a list of the supplies used and measurements in both Metric and Imperial.

How can you get your hands on this month's PDF of video tutorials?

Shop with me - if you order from my online store you will receive that month's bundle for FREE. Be sure to use the Monthly Host Code. You can find the Monthly Host Code at the foot of this post or on the side bar to the right.

Join my Team - team members will receive the tutorials for FREE.

Purchase - Buy the Bundle for £11.50. You can buy in any currency and PayPal will do the conversion for you.

Your tutorial Bundle will be available from the 1st of the month and will be sent to the email address you provide to PayPal.

Bonus Days are back! This great promotion has happened several times before. For every £45 you spend, from 1st July to 3rd August, you earn a £4.50 Bonus Days Coupon Code that can be redeemed 4th - 31st August.
