Arrange a Wreath

Hello and welcome to my blog. A few days ago I had a crafty get together with some other Demonstrators using the power of the internet. It was lovely to craft together even though we didn't leave the comfort of our own homes!

At the start of the meeting we were challenged to make a card using a theme. The card had to have the following ingredients: something new, something brown, something blue and some sparkle. We also had only a limited time to complete the card!

The Arrange a Wreath Bundle had been patiently waiting on my desk for a while - so this seemed like the right opportunity to get creative with it. It's a set that has the potential to be used for many occasions throughout the year - eggs for easter, pears and partridges for Christmas to name a few.

I made a quick little card that has a clean and fresh feel about it - and there's no stamping! I die cut one wreath in Soft Suede and then two of the leafy wreaths in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. There are perfect little indentations on the leaves to represent the stalks too. I wrapped some of the dotty Tulle ribbon around the centre of a square layer of Thick Whisper White card and then attached the wreathes over the top using Glue Dots. The layers of leaves were slightly offset too give some depth to the wreath.

The little blue flowers are adorable especially with the sparkly jewels in their centres. I added a few more jewels and a polka dot bow in the middle of the wreath to finish off before mounting onto a small square card.

I followed the criteria - new stamp set, Soft Suede die cut wreath as a base, blue flowers and quite a bit of sparkle! And, I finished within the time allotted time too!
