Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am taking part in a blog hop with some fellow enthusiasts who love sharing their creative talents using their Stampin' Up!® products. This month the Stamping Inkspirations blog hop is a colour challenge.
Our inspiration this month comes in the form of a colour palette. The colours are Blushing Bride, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Bumblebee and Garden Green. The challenge was to use at least three of the colours and the ultimate challenge was to incorporate all five of them. I managed to include all but Blushing Bride.
As soon as I saw these colours I knew which stamp set I wanted to use. The colours simply scream flowers to me and I've been looking for the excuse to pull out the Flowing Flowers set.
I have really focussed on the colours today and where the stamps have multiple colours I inked them up using sponge daubers. Using the Scalloped Contours dies I mounted my little picture in a frame. I love this effect. Using the Bouquet of Love embossing folder results in a deeply embossed floral background (the heart is hidden under the scalloped layer!) that sets off the stamped flowers beautifully.
Unusually for me, I haven't added any ribbon or gems or any other type of embellishment to the card. I like the simplicity of the coloured flowers with the different layers and textures just the way it is. I chose the Just a Note sentiment from the set as I am sending quite a few of those type of cards at the moment.
I hope that you are inspired by my card today and that you will continue along the hop to enjoy what the others have created too. We would love to hear from you and so if you have been inspired, please leave a comment.
