All Star Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop - Abstract Beauty Suite

Hello and welcome to our All Star Tutorial Bundle Design Team Blog Hop for March 2022. This month we are using the Abstract Beauty Suite. The projects featured in the bundle are exclusive and the tutorials come complete with photos, video directions and a supply list that includes both Metric and Imperial measurements.

The sneak peek of the Abstract Beauty bundle of tutorials gives you a taster of the projects in this month's bundle.

To enjoy the tutorials you have several options:

  • shop with me -  if you order from my online store you will receive that month's bundle for free
  • purchase - buy the bundle for £11.00
  • Join my Team - team members will receive the tutorials for free

To give you even more inspiration each of us has created another project using the Abstract Beauty products. Here is my project for today.

For this card I have used the dies and the Designer Series Paper and one of the sentiments from the stamp set. The 4" x 6" DSP is a different size to the ones we are used to, but it still features two different patterns - one with gold detailing and a plainer flip side. I selected three of the gold embellished patterns together with some coordinating Basic Black and Smoky Slate to create my card with.

I used the largest of the hexagon dies and the embossed circle die to cut shapes from the DSP and I also cut a black circle and a smaller Smokey Slate hexagon. To add another texture to the layers I embossed the black circle using the Hive 3-d Embossing Folder. It complements the hexagons perfectly, doesn't it?

While I had the embossing folder out I also added texture to a Basic White layer - I think that the texture looks equally effective whether it is embossed or debossed. Some of the shapes are popped up on dimensionals, whilst some of them are flat onto the white background, which gives height and more dimension to the card. In keeping with the gold detailing in the DSP, I have gold heat embossed the fabulous sentiment, added twists of Simply Elegant Trim and a triangle of gold Metallic Pearls. I had a lot of fun making this card - I hope you like it!

  2. I often use the backside of the hive folder as well. Very nice card for either male or female, depending on the DSP used.
