Ornate Butterfly Brilliance - International Project Highlights for April 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my card to enter in Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights for April 2021 - the theme is Thank you. I wanted to make a card to show some appreciation to those people who work tirelessly and always go that extra mile. I am thinking of someone who goes through their day with a smile on their face chipping away at the tasks in hand and I'm sure a little thank you note would be most welcome - just a small gesture to show that all their efforts are appreciated.

I haven't used my Ornate Layers dies nearly enough, so to rectify that I decided to feature them on this card. There are some fabulous frames in the set, and one even creates a card front layer and the decorative edge is really delicate. To add a little additional texture to this layer I also ran it through the Cut & Emboss machine in the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. Then I took a second frame from the Ornate set, this time it is tall and thin, to add as a border. To this one I added an embossed layer on the top - I used either the Ornate or Brick & Mortar folders.

I think that fluttering butterflies are always pretty and the ones in the Butterfly Brillaince Bundle really are beautiful. The large background butterfly stamp has a coordinating, one piece, die to cut out the individual butterflies and there are also separate detailed butterfly dies. I have added a single, stamped butterfly and a couple of smaller ones off to the side - they have all have added shimmer from the Wink of Stella glitter brush (becasue, why wouldn't you?).

The sentiment is stamped on a strip of Pool Party card - the thanks is heat embossed in white and the for all you do is in Pool Party. It sits on a white stitched edge banner from the Ornate set. The finishing touch is a sprinkling of Basic Pearls.
