Hello and welcome to our All Star Tutorial Bundle Design Team Blog Hop for April 2021. This month we are using the Flowering Cactus Product Medley. Here is a sneak peek of the Flowering Cactus Product Medley bundle of tutorials.

To give you even more inspiration each of us has created another project using the Flowering Cactus products. Here is my project for today.

For today's card, I have used some of the pieces of designer series paper left over from my tutorial project. That makes me extremely happy - it feels so good to use the same piece of paper for multiple projects. Especially as I equally like each side of this particular sheet and now I have used both of them!

The Stampin' Up! samples for the product Medley on pages 8 & 9 of the January to June catalogue show that one of the sentiments looks perfect on one of the Stitched Rectangle dies. I used this as the starting point for this card together with some inspiration from a friend. We have been experimenting with patterns for using 6 x 6 sheets of DSP and I have used one of her layouts for this card. Our cards look totally different - I have used different papers and colours, but the basic shape of the layout is the same. Thanks Allyson, your dragonfly card was an inspiration!

The pieces of DSP are the same width as the squat stitched rectangle, but they are slightly longer so that they can be arranged in a staggered, offset arrangement forming a rectangle in the middle of the card. Each piece is layered on to a slightly larger piece of Mint Macaron before layering them on to the embossed Basic White layer. The flowers are stamped in Highland Heather, die cut and decorated with a twine bow, a felt flower and Metallic Pearls.

I think I am going to try this layout with a variety of papers - it is such a good way to use up those small leftover pieces! Let me know what you think in the comments below.
