Thanks a ton - International Highlights Winners Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog. Earlier in the month I took part in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights and after the voting closed I was thrilled to find myself in the top ten, and hence eligible to take part in this winners blog hop.

Thank you so much to everyone who visited the gallery and voted for my card. If you missed it, you can read about it here.

The card for today's blog hop is the same but different! It uses the same suite of products and it's also a fun fold card, but I've changed the way I have put them together.

The base card is made from Just Jade and is topped with a layer of Designer Series Paper and a thinner layer embossed with the Seabed folder. For a change, this time the flap is circular! It was made by placing the largest scalloped layering circle die on a folded piece of Just Jade card with the edge of the die over hanging the fold slightly so that it doesn't cut a complete circle, thereby creating a flap.

I layered a second scalloped circle in Pretty Peacock over the top to contrast with the DSP and adorned the seabed with a whale, some seaweed, made from sheer ribbon and the Sprig punch, and a Thanks a ton banner. The inside of the flap has Whisper White die cut circles decorated with little fish.

My favourite bit about this card is the bubbles in the water. They are simply small dots of glue from the fine-tipped glue pen! I also added a blob on the whale's eye to make it raised and shiny.

You are currently visiting Karen Henderson - thank you for stopping by today. You can follow the hop and look at the projects from the other winners by clicking on the names below:

If you want to purchase the items used for this card, or any other supplies, please take a look in my online Stampin' Up! shop. You can follow the link or click on the pictures below of the products I have used today.

Stay safe and as always, happy crafting,
