Happy Hearts

Hello and welcome to my blog.  The Meant to Be bundle hasn't left my desk yet because I am enjoying using it so much. This time the colours used have an orange tone rather than the pinker hues used on the cards I shared earlier this week. I rather like this colour combo of Real Red, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink.

I knew that I wanted the Real Red line of hearts to be across the centre of the card, so I balanced the background by stamping a line of Calypso Coral hearts above and below them and then the top and bottom rows of Powder Pink hearts complete symmetry.

The Whisper White Sheer Ribbon wraps around the centre of the stamped panel which sits on top of a Real Red layer, which in turn sits on a Petal Pink card base. The die cut heart sits proudly in the middle. The dies are cleverly constructed so that with one pass through the Big Shot this die yields two pieces - a solid heart cut from the centre of a stitched, scalloped frame. I stamped and then die cut one from Calypso Coral and  second one in Real Red.  I mixed and matched the colours and they nestle together beautifully.

To complete the card I've added a skinny banner for the sentiment, a small bow and a tiny red heart, which is 'waste' from the delicate pattered die in this set!  It's so good to use up all the tiny off cuts. Little things like that make me happy.
