Hello and welcome to my blog for another Beautiful Friendship card. I am thoroughly enjoying creating with this set. To focus my mind, and help with the layout, I am playing along with the Global Design Project sketch challenge.
Today, my colour palette is the rich Lovely Lipstick paired with Granny Apple Green. A perfect combination and representative of many garden roses. The large roses are stamped twice at the top and bottom of a Whisper White layer. The gaps are filled in with foliage stamped in Granny Apple Green and more Lovely Lipstick blooms, that were initially stamped off on to scrap paper to give lighter shade of the same colour.
The white space between the two rows of roses is filled with layers of Vellum and Lovely Lipstick card that have a gorgeous stitched scalloped edge, courtesy of the border die in the Stitched Be Mine dies. I wrapped some Polka Dot Tulle ribbon around these layers and adhered the Happy Birthday die cuts, from the Well Written set, across the centre. The final touch was a few splatters of sparkle from my Wink of Stella glitter pen.
