Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - A sketch challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am taking part in a blog hop with some fellow enthusiasts who love sharing their creative talents using their Stampin' Up!® products.

This month in the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop we are creating projects inspired by a sketch.

Sketches are such a useful tool and a great starting point when creating a card. They can be interpreted quite literally, using exactly the same placement for the elements. Alternatively, they can be also be used merely as a starting point. Although I have rotated the orientation to landscape and placed my elements less uniformly than on the sketch I have still included all of the components on my card.

I have used the Christmas Tags & More Designer Series Paper and the Greetings For You Ephemera packs to create a fun card that is quick and easy to produce. Using the Perennial Postage dies and some of the cut apart elements from the DSP I have created some over sized postage stamps as the focal point on the card.

The middle stamp is raised on dimensionals which accommodates the knot of the double stranded Baker's Twine bow. These elements sit on top of the uniform snowflake pattered paper, a layer of Garden Green and then on to a Basic White card base. The colours are traditional and so fresh looking. The greetings in the ephemera pack are self adhesive, but I opted to use dimensionals instead so that the sentiment is at the same height as the middle stamp.

This was so much fun but so unusual for me to create a card with zero stamping! Please continue along the hop to see what the others have created too...enjoy the projects! We would love to hear from you and so if you have been inspired, please leave a comment.
