Zany Zoo Birthday card for #GDP431

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am joining in with the Theme Challenge over at the Global Design Project this week. I need several birthday cards which fits really well with the balloon theme!

I cropped out a critter from the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper - the balloons were already coloured so I simply added a little colour to the body and tail using watercolour pencils. The tummy and eyes have been Wink of Stella sparkled - it is a birthday card afterall!

Using the colour of the balloons as a guide, I stamped layers using the Countryside Corners stamp in Petal Pink, Lemon Lolly and Pool Party. Then, using the dies, I cut apertures into the Petal Pink and Lemon Lolly ones disgarding the cut out octogans. The flip side of the Zoo Crew paper has a striking black and white print which I used as a frame. Taking a piece that was slightly smaller than the card front I cut an aperture through it which then sits on top of the Petal Pink and Lemon Lolly ones. These three layers sit on top of the final, complete Pool Party piece. They nest into each other creating a tunnel, rather than layering up the traditional way.

The Wanted to Say dies provide the perfect sentiment - it's bold, yet fun, and pops against the busy background DSP. I remembered to apply Adhesive Sheet to the card before die cutting which made it really easy to attach to the card. The little critter with the balloons is popped up on Dimensionals surrounded by a trio of Festive Pearls.

The Countryside Corners are great frames and I'm so pleased I used them on this fun looking card. Do you need any of the products used on today's card?
