All Star Design Team Blog Hop - Fancy Flora Suite

Hello and welcome to our All Star Design Team Video Class Bundle Blog Hop for January 2023. I have been absent from my crafting desk for a long time and I'm so excited to be back on the eve of the launch of the new Mini Catalogue and sharing inspiration with one of the new suites. This month the All Star Design Team are using the Fancy Flora Suite. The projects featured in the Video Class Bundle are exclusive and the tutorials come complete with photos, video directions and a supply list that includes both Metric and Imperial measurements.

For the blog hop at the start of the month, each of us will create another project using the featured suite of products to give you even more inspiration. Here is my Fancy Flora Suite card created for this hop.

I was inspired by a commercially produced card that I received. To recreate it, I took a sheet of the Fancy Flora 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and divided it up into four sections. Each piece of DSP was layered onto coordinating cardstock and then onto a card base. The card base is scored into four panels, plus a small flap for joining, to create a square tube!

I used two layering labels from the Something Fancy die set to create the foundation for my floral arrangement. These are anchored to the front of the card using two folded hexagons placed either side of the front score line - half of each hexagon is adhered to the label and the other half is adhered to the card so that a hinge is created. (Note to self; add another label to the back of the card so that I can write a message!)

I stamped and die cut flowers and leaves from the Two-Tone Flora bundle using Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia and Pool Party inks to coordinate with the DSP I had chosen. The HELLO sentiment comes from the Inspired Thoughts set and is stamped in Balmy Blue ink. To complete the centre of the flowers I embellished them with Iridescent Pearls and I added a scattering of Fresh Fresia Opal Rounds to complete the card.

The DSP pack has a wide variety of colours included which will allow you to change the feel of the card by simply using a different sheet of it.
