Love of Leaves Thank You

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am taking part in Kylie Bertucci's Blog Highlights for October and I'm sharing an autumnal card with you using the Love of Leaves bundle.

I have fallen hook, line and sinker for the dies in this bundle - they are amazing! They feature stitched edges which, in my opinion, makes any shape look fabulous and an optional element that adds the vein details.

I have focussed on stitched elements to make a simple layered thank you card. The colours I have used are Early Espresso with Mint Macaron and I have added a touch of luxury by using the Brushed Metallic cardstock as a layering element aswell as for the die cut leaf.

The layers were built up on to an Early Espresso card base - a metallic layer was topped with a Mint Macaron one constructed from four die cut squares using the Stitched Shapes dies and arranged to make a larger layering square. A leaf was die cut from an Early Espresso square and set aside for another project. Another leaf, cut from the Brushed Metallic card, was then inlaid into the Early Espresso void to make the focal point of the card. I love this inlaid effect.

To finish, I merely added a twine bow and a skinny sentiment banner to say thank you. Stitched simplicity!

I'm showcasing this card in Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights for October. The gallery is filled with projects with the common theme of gratitude and saying Thank You. When you visit the gallery you will see that you can participate by voting for your favourite five projects. At the end of the voting the Top Ten winners will be invited to take part in an International Blog Hop at the end of October. I would love to take part in the hop, so I would really appreciate your help. Please would you visit the gallery and vote for my card?
