Hello and welcome to my blog. I am in the mood for celebrating, which is a good thing as I have numerous birthday celebrations coming up later this month. So today, I am sharing a fun, girly creation inspired by the inspiration board on the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week.
I have chosen the elements on the bottom row to work with: Die Cuts, Yellow and Green.
Mint Macaron is a wonderfully delicate colour to work with and I have paired it up with Pretty Peacock and Purple Posy. I would never have thought of using that combination, but it features on one of the sheets in the Best Dressed stack of Designer Series Paper, so I was persuaded to give it a whirl. The strip of stripy paper is folded in an irregular concertina fashion to give a platform for the die cut images to sit on the floral background.
These images were stamped with StazOn ink on Shimmery White card and watercoloured with a variety of inks and an Aqua Painter. The coordinating dies make easy work of cutting them out. Doesn't the wash of Daffodil Delight make convincing perfume?
The sentiment is stamped on Purple Posy card, punched out with a 2" Circle Punch and mounted on to a Starburst Punched piece of Pretty Peacock. Adding sparkle is always fun so there are Pretty Peacock rhinestones and some splatters from my Wink of Stella Glitter brush for the little finishing touches.
I'm happy that my pile of (soon to be posted) birthday cards has grown by one but there are plenty more needed!
