Thank you kindly, Enjoy Life

Hello and welcome to my blog. I was totally smitten with the cards I shared with you last time. So much so that I had to make another batch of them! This time I made a set of Thank You cards as I am always in need of those. As luck would have it the theme over at The Paper Players this week is Graditude, so I am submitting my cards for their challenge.

I love the clean fresh look of these cards and they were such fun to make. As before, I used sponge brayers to transform the Whisper White layer into the Balmy Blue/Pear Pizzazz background and then repeatedly stamped the floaty foliage over the width of the card using Soft Suede ink. The background is matted on to a Soft Suede layer and a Pear Pizzazz card base.

The bit I like best about these cards is the label for the Thank You sentiment. After stamping the words I punched them out using the Everyday Label punch but orientated it vertically, which isn't the way I usually punch with it. The trick is to punch the words a second time, with the aid of a Post-it-Note, to remove the excess card.

Hey presto! The label is smaller and fits snugly around the words. It just needed the flying butterfly to finish it off.

Now I am ready to write out my cards ready to pop them in the post on my way to work. I am already looking forward to that rewarding feeling as the envelopes flop into the letterbox winging their way to brighten someone's day. Happy days! The other cards that I made with a similar background can be seen here.
