Hello and welcome to my blog. Stampin' Up! products are wonderful to use. Quality and coordination are two of their greatest features. Product suites are designed to make it easy to create cards and gifts with items that work effortlessly together. The Brightly Gleaming suite is a perfect example of this. I used the stamps, punches and stunning Designer Series Papers featured in it to make the cards for one of my recent classes.
Using the colours in the DSP is always a good starting point when designing a card. Experts have ensured that they work together, so it makes it easy to start with them! Another way to make it easy to make a successful card is to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) a card. There is no doubt in my mind that CASing the catalogue makes helps my card making, which is what I have done with the card I am sharing today.
The Brightly Gleaming product samples are so elegant with the copper elements shining through and I love the richness of the Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy and Pretty Peacock colours together.
The card that inspired me is this one. Isn't it wonderful?
I swapped the copper foil background for a Pretty Peacock one, but I still wanted to have some copper elements on my card. So, I stamped the sentiment using the new Celestial Copper ink and the strip of DSP I used has copper foliage printed all over it. As the light shines on the card these elements shine beautifully.
My card base, label and leaves are all Very Vanilla, which is the neutral colour used in the DSP. The stamping is in Soft Suede and the holly leaves are coloured with an AquaPainter. I have retained the layout from the catalogue, but changed the colours for an alternative version of the card.
Thank you for visiting my blog, I do hope you approve of my alternative interpretation of the card! If you want to purchase the items used for this card, or any other supplies, please take a look in my online Stampin' Up! shop.
