Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am sharing a Wintery card featuring an absolutely adorable snowman. The Snowman Season bundle comprises stamps and a punch (buying them together as a bundle saves you 10% compared with the individual prices), and the suite also has gorgeous Designer Series Paper, ribbon and an adorable embellishment kit.
I made this card for a swap that I coordinated for members of the team that I belong to. We swap via the post and it is exciting to receive envelopes stuffed with creativity. I collect the six identical cards that each of us make, swap them and then send them back out in the post so that we each end up with six different cards...quite often this results in more things on our wish lists!
This is a cute tent style card that can easily be flattened to fit in an ordinary envelope for easy posting - I am picturing it sitting proudly on top of a mantle piece amongst greeney and pinecones.
The papers have a wonderful palette that is a little alternative to the usual Christmas colours. Don't you just love those minty stripes? I have mainly used Real Red and Coastal Cabana for my card to echo the colours on the paper. Punching the snowman, his hat and stick arms is easy using the Snowman Builder punch, which coordinates with some of the glittery snowmen on the papers too. Win, win! For my card, I also had fun with heat embossing and colouring the hat with my Blends and I used a couple of stamps from the Snow Front set to create the snow drifts. I am sure that this is only the first of many snowmen cards for this season!
