Hello and welcome to my blog. It has been warm and sunny here today so I reached out for some warm happy colours to work with for the CAS(E) this SKETCH #317 challenge. As soon as I saw this sketch an idea popped into my head.
I grabbed my Abstract Impressions stamp set and three ink pads: Lovely Lipstick, Calypso Coral and Grapefruit Grove and began stamping!
The colours played really well together and I stamped from dark to light as I moved from upwards from the bottom of the the Whisper White layer. Some of the images were stamped off onto scrap paper first before stamping - this increases the number of shades you can produce.
I love the stitched edges that you can create with dies and I've used two different types on this card. The Be Mine Stitched set has a wonderful scalloped edge die that I used to soften the edge between the Whisper White card and the embossed Grapefruit Grove layer. All the flowers look so pretty together. The detail on the embossed flowers is just wonderful.
Kindness changes everything is a phrase that we should all remember! I stamped it onto a white circle die cut with the Stitched Shapes and layered onto a scalloped Lovely Lipstick circle. The scallops give a pop of colour connecting the colour of the ink and the card base.
I'm happy with my bright sunny card and I hope the cheery weather continues too.
