Happy Hearts in the All My Love Suite

Hello and welcome to my blog today!  The first time that I flipped through the  Spring Summer catalogue I was delighted to see the All My Love suite.  I absolutely love hearts...any time of the year!  When I look round my house there is plenty of evidence that this is the case.  There are an abundance of hearts: pegs holding up menu plans, wall hangings and ornaments.  There are quite a few cat ornaments too!

It was a dead cert that I'd purchase some of the items in the suite.  There are two stamp/die bundles, papers, cardstock, a ribbon pack and some heart epoxy droplets.  Confession - I think I have actually purchased the whole suite, although I haven't used any of the Designer Series Paper yet!

In the main, I have concentrated on the Forever Lovely bundle for the cards I have created today.  Purchasing the bundle saves 10% on the individual prices of the stamps and dies.  As we are now in Sale-A-Bration (SAB), purchasing the bundle would qualify you to select one FREE item from the SAB brochure.

Forever Lovely bundle: 150580

The first card I made was specifically a Valentine's card (it is never to early to share the love!) and I also used one of the dies from the Meant to Be bundle.  It's the pretty swirl cut out in Crumb Cake underneath the sentiment.

I love how the heart banner through the middle of the card turned out, so I set to and made a few more cards incorporating the banner, and some of the same elements.  The cards all have the ribbon tag on the left hand side, which is simply a small piece of ribbon folded and sandwiched between the card base and the top layer.  Each card also has at least one of the heart epoxy droplet embellishments.

The banner of hearts is easy to create by simply stamping the flourish of hearts repeatedly across the card in an upward, diagonal direction.

Stamp the first image slightly off the card towards the bottom on the left hand side.  Stamp again, slightly further up and slightly overlapping the previous image.  Continue to stamp until the diagonal banner is finished.  I have used either Lovely Lipstick or Flirty Flamingo ink for the banners.  My Lovely Lipstick ink was particularly juicy so I stamped two backgrounds simultaneously: one darker, more saturated image for the card below and without reinking the stamp I made a second, lighter one that formed the background for the Valentine's card.

So, what else did I come up with?  How lovely are these words?  Perfect for telling someone you are happy to be friends.  The sentiment would be perfect as part of a scrapbook layout too.

The sentiments come from one of the SAB stamp sets called Part of My Story (FREE with purchases of £45 (before shipping and handling)).  I think that they combine brilliantly with the hearts.

A different sentiment for another variation.  I think that this one is my favourite!

I hope that I have shown you that the hearts are not just for Valentine's Day.  Equally suitable for weddings and anniversaries as well as for those "just because" cards that are just as wonderful to send as receive.  Here is collection of cards altogether.  Go on make someone's day.  Make a card, send a card.
