Sprinkles of Life

The new Annual catalogue will be with us very soon.  It is stuffed with fabulous new products and five new In Colors.  It will be launched on 1st June and I cant wait to share with you.  So, not long to wait now, just around the corner...

I am so pleased that the Sprinkles of Life set is staying with us in the new catalogue. It is such a fun set.  Last weekend I crafted with friends and I shared several cards made with this extremely versatile stamp set. There is a coordinating punch too!  You can produce trees, clouds,  ice creams and cupcakes all with the same set.  I think you will agree that IS versatile.
It is the "cloud" stamp in the set can be used to create cupcakes, ice creams and of course clouds, which can then be punched out with the Tree Builder Punch.  The tent card shows you how you can make gorgeous little trees too.
Folding the card flat makes it easy to pop into an envelope to post!

I hope you like this cute little tent card.  Come back for another visit and I will introduce you to some new products available from 1st June.  If you would like to place an order please visit my online shop at:

More Birthday Blooms!

The birthday celebrations are still going on and so I'm still making birthday cards...but everyone needs birthday cards to send, don't they?
The combination of Island Indigo and Pool Party is a firm favourite of mine, and you might be fooled into thinking that these are the only colours that I use.  Honestly, I do have other colours and I do use them!  I do like blue though!
Sadly, the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and the Curvy Corner Trio Punch are retiring to make way for exciting products coming in the new catalogue, which launches to customers on 1st June 2016.
You can see in the Blushing Bride and Rose Red version above that the Blushing Bride Glimmer paper can be used to great effect too. See, I do use other colours!

For You Birthday Blooms

Over the next few days there are quite a few friends and relatives that will be celebrating their birthdays.  So, that means I have the perfect excuse to retreat into my craft room to create a few birthday cards to send to help them celebrate.

This card uses one of my favourite colour combinations and a beautifully floral stamp set. The sentiments are simple and to the point, and they are written in a lovely flowing font.

The flowers are coloured with the shimmery clear wink of stella pen which adds a real twinkle to the flowers (although this is tricky to photograph!).  One birthday card made, several more needed equals more time creating for me.  Yipee!

I hope the recipient likes the card and has a wonderful birthday.

OnStage Local in Telford!

A little later than planned (well actually a lot later than planned) with another entry! Yesterday, I spent the day in Telford at Stampin' Up!'s OnStage Local event along with 380 other excited demonstrators - I was not deterred by the early morning snowfall!
There were displays for inspiration and presentations galore to whet our appetites for some gorgeous new products in the all new catalogue. In addition there was plenty of chatting and laughing, and of course there was swapping.

Swapping is an integral part of any Stampin' Up! event.  It is another fabulous way to share and exchange ideas and gain inspiration.  I made 50 cards to swap and now I have lots of different projects ranging from cards to bookmarks to boxes and tags to give me more ways to be creative!

These were the cards I made.  I originally took inspiration from a card by Julie Davison that I saw on Pinterest.  The layout is the same, but the colours and stamps aren't!  My first card uses Bermuda Bay as it's base with Pool Party and Island Indigo layers.  The stamping is done on Shimmery White card which is beautifully shimmery and a dream to colour on. I've used the gorgeous Grateful Bunch stamps with the coordinating Blossom punch to create the flowers, butterfly and sentiment.  The gorgeous Gold Wink of Stella Glitter brush finishes off the centre of the flowers.  The butterfly sits on the largest punched out flower, and a  hint of Pool Party Glitter ribbon wrapped around a small pannel whose corners have been rounded with the Curvy Corner Trio punch.  I used my snips to fussy cut out the butterfly - no feelers were lost in the process!

The colours for the second card are Night of Navy, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo and this time there is a hint of Melon Mambo Stitched ribbon behind the butterfly.

I hope you find something to inspire you to be creative today.
