Sentimental Park - Thanks

Hello! I am participating in a blog hop organised by Kylie and Bruno Bertucci as part of their Demonstrator Training Program. I am delighted to welcome you here whether you are a regular visitor or if you have hopped in from another blog. The group has demonstrators from all over the world and the training is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and to reach some goals that we have set.

Throughout the hop we are sharing ideas and inspiration for Thank You and congratulations cards to send to our customers and team during November.  My card today was inspired by a sample I saw during Stampin' Up!'s OnStage@Home event over the weekend. It was a virtual event, but, nevertheless it was super exciting and inspiring.

I have used a similar layout to create my card today using pretty patterns from the Inked Botanicals DSP together with the Sentimantal Park stamps and dies. The stamp set includes sentiments that can be mixed and matched for a variety of occasions. I chose to pair thanks with for all the wonderful things you do, but it would also be possible to pair let's celebrate with you are amazing.

Using one of the label dies in the set I created an aperture in a layer of DSP that had been mounted on to a coordinating layer of card (I only used adhesive around the very edge of the paper so that the die cut pieces fell apart after they were cut). After attaching these layers to the card base I was able to die cut a second time to create the aperture through the card front.

I stamped the for all the wonderful things you do on the flip side of the DSP and then adhered it to the inside of the card using the aperture as a guide for placement. The outside sentiment was stamped and mounted to mimic the other layers on the card front and attached, using glue dots, so that the inside sentiment was obscured.

Any double sided DSP will lend itself to this approach, and the Inked Botanicals set is no exception. It contains so many other pretty patterns - simply pick a coordinating colour for the layers and stamping!

If you place an order with me during November you will receive one of these cards as a thank you for your purchase together with a video tutorial bundle, from the All Star Design Team featuring the
All About Autumn Suite, as a gift.

I decided to utilise the leaves I had left over from my first project to create this card. There were quite a few!
The mixture of colours comes directly from the colours listed on the DSP: Early Espresso, Copper Clay, Moody Mauve. Don't they look attractive all lined up in a row on the roll of glue dots?

A layer of Copper Clay card is textured using the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder to form the backdrop for the leaves. Before arranging the leaves I wrapped a couple of lengths of shiny copper ribbon around the layer to highlight the copper elements in the DSP and then added it to an Early Espresso card base.

I knew that I wanted a wreath arrangement on my card and I decided to use the same shape leaf throughtout, loosely placing them in a circle over the copper ribbon. The die set includes some elements to create the veins/skeletons for the leaves and I have utilised them as twiggy sprigs poking out from under my wreath.

The sentiment is stamped using Early Espresso ink and die cut using a frame from the set, which is than layered onto a smaller frame cut from DSP. The Speckled Dots are flecked with copper and I couldn't resist adding a few to finish off the card.

Over the last couple of days we have enjoyed some beautiful sunshine and the leaves on the trees around me are all turning. I am surrounded by some truly wonderful autumnal shades. It's been fun capturing autumn on a card! I hope you feel inspired to use this suite with too. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Paper Florist Note of Thanks for International Blog Highlights November 2023

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my card to entry to Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights for November 2023 - the theme is Thank you. It's always a pleasure to send a card, and what better reason to send a card other than sending a thank you to someone who has helped you or gone the extra mile to make a difference. I'm saying thank you with flowers!

For today's card, I pulled out my Sending Smiles bundle and cut out a Gorgeous Grape Sending and stamped, heat embossed and die cut A Note of Thanks - these were the only bits that I purposefully created for this particular card. The rest of the elements came from my pile that I'd cut out on a previous occasion. There is a mixture of die cut flowers and foliage from the Paper Florist, Fresh as a Daisy and Dainty Delight sets.  Then, rather than just have a collection of flowers I built an arrangement around the sentiment.

The colours are Gorgeous Grape, Fresh Fresia, Granny Apple Green, Soft Sea Foam, a tiny bit of Bubble Bath and some Basic White. The flowers are attached with glue dots allowing the petals to overlap and curl to add texture. The Sending and A Note of Thanks are attached on dimensionals so that they sit proud of the flowers. To finish and for a little bling, I added Iridescent Pearls on top of tiny Gorgeous Grape flowers.

These are some of my favourite colours, and I love how attractive they look together. There are still quite a few flowers to use up, but I am pleased to have reduced my stash a little bit!

As mentioned at the beginning I am entering this card into Kylie's International Blog Highlights and you can follow the link to the gallery where you will find heaps more inspiration AND you can vote for your favourite five projects. At the end of the voting the Top Ten winners will be invited to take part in a blog hop at the end of the month.

I would love to take part in the hop, so I would really appreciate your help. Please would you visit the gallery and vote for my card? Click on the little heart on my card, which is number 9.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you want to purchase the items used for these cards, or any other supplies, please take a look in my online Stampin' Up! shop. You can follow the link or click on the pictures below of the products I have used today.
