A Fish & A Wish for Kylie's International Project Highlights for August 2022

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my card to entry to Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights for August 2022 - the theme is Thank you.

My card features the A Fish & A Wish stamp set together with some Designer Series Paper from the Texture Chic pack. It's ages since I have made a fold out swing card, and I had so much fun making this one.

I've added tone on tone stamping on the Bermuda Bay base card and embossing on the Stitched Rectangle die cut layer to add as much texture as I could. To encourage the dimension of the Seashells embossing to pop, I swirled some Pool Party ink around the edges using a Blending Brush - I loaded more ink at the bottom of the scene to imply deeper water.

The square aperture was cut using the second largest of the Stylish Shapes dies to keep the stitched edge theme going. Then I used the coordinating fish punch to cut out some stamped fish which I used to decorate the little scene in the middle of the card as well as the concertina panels. To pretend that there were bubbles in the water I tapped my Wink of Stella glitter pen over the card to create splatters!

The Texture Chic papers create a really effective deep sea scene!
Here is the card laid out flat.

I hope you like my fun, fancy fold card. As mentioned at the beginning I am entering Kylie's International Project Highlights and you can follow the link to the gallery where you will find heaps more inspiration AND you can vote for your favourite five projects.
