Christmas in July for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am taking part in a blog hop with some fellow enthusiasts who love sharing their creative talents using their Stampin' Up!® products.

For this month's Stamping Inkspirations blog hop we have a colour combination to inspire us for a Christmas in July theme, which is perfect timing as we are right at the start of the July to December 2022 Mini Catalogue which is filled with gorgeous projects and inspiration, including plenty of Christmas themed products.

As someone who has a tandancy to leave things to the last minute, I am hoping that this blog hop will start me on my way to a more prepared run up to the busy Christmas period. Fingers crossed! For my very first Christmas card this year I opened up the Trees for Sale set and the coordinating Sale-A-Bration Tree Lot dies - I thought that the suggested colour combination was perfect for them.

The trees are stamped, on Shimmery White card using Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen inks, then die cut. I made a few so that I could mix and match sizes and colour variations to make a grove of them. They're arranges on a Soft Succulent background that I'd embellished with subtle, tone on tone stars, spatters of Wink of Stella and texture from the Timeworn Type embossing folder.

Sahara Sand makes a lovely neutral background which works really well with the Shimmery White used for the trees. The snowflake pattern comes from the Wintry embossing folder pack which has two of the narrower style folders in it. I embossed the top and bottom of the Sahara Sand layer, hiding the join under the decorative panel. The suggested colour combination includes Cherry Cobbler which I think pops well against the greens. A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones add extra sparkle and the sentiment is white heat embossed.

One Christmas card down, many more to go! I think that this design will work in other colour combinations, so watch this space! I hope that you are inspired by my card today and that you will continue along the hop to see what the others have created too. Enjoy the projects. We would love to hear from you and so if you have been inspired, please leave a comment.
