Kylie's International Project Highlights for June

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my entry to Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights for June 2022 - the theme is Thank you.  

Making these cards made me so happy! Making cards usually has that effect on me, but these ones include some of my favourite cardmaking components; paper, texture and heat embossing. They also have a Jubilee vibe; the colours are spot on and the papers say tea party, of which there were many over this last weekend. 

I don't own the Cup of Tea Bundle (yet!), but I do have the Designer Series Paper plus the cards and envelopes in this Suite - I couldn't resist the vibrant colours. So, my cards begin with a quarter of a sheet of the Tea Boutique paper and layer of InColor card to make the patterns pop. The patterns are so striking all by themselves that I didn't want to add too much more to my cards.

The card bases are topped with an embossed layer of Basic White card; the Quatrefoil folder adds texture that is delicate and deeply etched. I wrapped matching Baker's Twine around the squares and popped them up on dimensionals to secure them to the embossed card base. To finish the cards I simply added a white heat embossed thank you from the Hello Beautiful stamp set and die cut with the Beautiful Shapes dies. This die embosses as it cuts adding even more texture!

These cards were quick and easy to make, and I think that they look equally good as a standard sized or square card - which one you make depends on how much you have to write on the inside! They are so clean and fresh looking and I love the pops of colour. I'm such a happy crafter! Hope you like them too.
